Daze uses themes of “gazing, imagination, and connection” to construct a quiet yet perceptive inner world through a wordless narrative. Each visual set takes the viewer on a journey from concrete reality into an abstract, mental space. The book not only captures the state of spacing out but also explores how one can reconnect with themselves and the world in silence.
n the first set, a blue oval turns into a puddle and then expands into a vast ocean, symbolizing how thoughts grow from a small origin into boundless imagination.
In the second set, a blue square transforms into a framed painting; through quiet contemplation, the figure gradually enters a vast blue world and rests on blossoming branches, expressing the transition from observation to immersion.
Third Set A small purple rectangle begins as an isolated element.
It then transforms into a framed artwork hanging on the wall, inviting contemplation.
Finally, it expands into a vast desert landscape under a soft purple sky, evoking a feeling of exploration and quiet wonder.
The fourth group starts with a pink heart floating in the air.
A character looks up at the heart, leading into a transition where the scene unfolds into a field of blooming flowers, each shaped like a heart.
This sequence symbolizes the beginning of love, the act of longing, and eventually being embraced by a world filled with love.
In the fifth series, a small orange circle gradually transforms into a playful interaction between the character and a bouncing ball, finally expanding into a dreamlike scene by a golden sea, where the character quietly points towards the stars. This group conveys a sense of carefree exploration and a childlike curiosity about the vastness of the universe.
